Distinguished Professor of Urban Planning and Environmental Policy at the Barbara Jordan -Mickey Leland Scool of Pubic Affairs in Texas Southern University – Dr. Robert Bullard was recently named as one of the 22 Climate Trailblazers ahead of the Landmark Global Climate Action Summit scheduled to hold in San Francisco, CA from Sept 12 – 14.
Of the 22 Climate Trailblazers, six live in North America, three in Central or South America, two in Europe, four in Africa, three in Asia and four in Australia or Oceania. Climate Trailblazers were nominated by a number of reputable awards committees and institutions including the United Nations’ Momentum for Change, Equator Initiative, and Young Champions of the Earth; the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders and Global Shapers; the Goldman Environmental Prize; XPRIZE; Grist; Oxfam; and Forbes 30 Under 30.Those chosen demonstrate a passion for climate issues and are continuously delivering a difference in their countries and communities, either fighting on the front lines of climate impacts or finding innovative climate solutions.
The Summit will showcase climate action around the world, along with bold new commitments, to give world leaders the confidence they can go even further by 2020.
Dr,. Bullard who was a former Dean of the School of Public Affairs will share his work of Climate Change Consortium and connect with Climate justice Leaders at the 2018 Global Climate Action Summit.
