Richelle N. Jones is a native of Brazoria, Texas, and a three-time graduate of Texas Southern University. She is a 2005 cum laude, Frederick Douglass Honors Institute scholar with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and minor in Journalism. She also received a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Human Resources in 2007. While at Texas Southern, Ms. Jones was an active member of the student body, holding offices in the University Program Council, Student Government Association, Political Science Club and Tiger Yearbook.
In 2012, Ms. Jones received her Juris Doctor degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. As a law student, she held active membership in the American Bar Association, Student Bar Association, Black Law Students Association, Public Interest Law Students Association, Thurgood Marshall Ambassador Organization, and was selected to represent the law school as Miss Thurgood Marshall School of Law 2011-2012. During her final year in law school, she became a certified mediator and worked in the law school’s Legal Studies Clinical Program as a mediator. Under the guidance of her supervising attorney, Ms. Jones co-mediated cases for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ms. Jones is also a freelance graphic designer and branding consultant. She has designed and consulted for corporations and organizations in the public and private sectors. She is a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, Golden Key International Honour Society, Pi Sigma Alpha – The Political Science Honor Society and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., where she serves as a board member of the Southwestern Region of the organization.
